How does SEO work? A simple explanation!
SEO can seem very confusing.
With all of the moving parts in SEO it can seem very complicated.
SEO can however, be broken down into 2 main parts.
Part 1 is the on-page SEO.
This is everything on your website. This is making sure your website is in perfect working order for when visitors arrive.
If its not then and it offers a poor experience then your visitors will unlikely come back or take the desired action you want them to.
Once this all in order its time for part 2 of SEO.
And that is off-page SEO. This is everything off of your website and on someone else’s.
This would be things such as citations SEO or backlinks.
Citations are used to increase your chances of ranking for local search on Google maps.
Backlinks will help build your website authority and therefore allow you to rank higher for your target keywords.
With every backlink you get from another high quality website it sends signals to Google that it should trash you a bit more.
You have to acquire backlinks every single month until you have reached your goals.
However, it is very important that these backlinks are always high quality and not spammy links.
Poor quality, spammy links are pointless. They will not have any affect on your rankings. You will simply be eating your time money and effort with them.
